The Political Module (3 Credits) comprises classes in Conflict Resolution, Ireland in the European Union and the Celtic Tiger. Taken together these three topics explore Ireland’s success story within the European Union, explains the basis of our unprecedented economic growth and our experience with the resolution of difficult and extended conflict.
Participants can experience the contemporary dynamism of Europe’s fastest growing and most exciting urban experience in Dublin combined with the contrasting tranquillity and rural tradition of the country-side in an environment that explores the nature and meaning of Contemporary Ireland both inside and outside the class-room.
The Programme begins and ends with a group Dinner and an opportunity to discover Ireland’s rich musical traditions first-hand. As well as the Fieldtrips, the Academic experience is supported by on-site visits to Museums, the Theatre, the Cinema and Historically important monuments both within and outside of Dublin.
